The 2020 Turkey Grand Prix (officially Formula 1 DHL Turkish Grand Prix 2020 ) took place on November 15 at the Istanbul Park Circuit in Istanbul and was the fourteenth race of the 2020 Formula 1 World Championship .

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , various races of the 2020 Formula 1 World Championship have been canceled or postponed. On August 25, 2020, the Formula 1 organizers published the last four races of the revised racing calendar. The Turkish Grand Prix, which was held for the first time since 2011 , was also there.
After the Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna , Lewis Hamilton led the drivers' standings with 85 points ahead of Valtteri Bottas and 120 points ahead of Max Verstappen . In the constructors' championship, Mercedes was 253 points ahead of Red Bull Racing as world champion, while Renault was 344 points behind in third.
With Hamilton, Kimi Räikkönen and Sebastian Vettel (once each), three former winners competed for this Grand Prix.
