Career
Albon began his motorsport career in karting , in which he remained active until 2011. He won several kart championships in Great Britain. In 2010 he won the CIK-FIA World Cup and the CIK-FIA European Championship in the KF3 class. In 2011 he finished second in the KF1 class of the WSK Euro Series and the CIK-FIA World Championship.
In 2012 Albon switched to formula racing and received a cockpit in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup at EPIC Racing . He remained without points and reached 38th place overall. In addition, he started for EPIC 2012 in the Alpine Formula Renault . Here he finished 16th in the drivers' championship with a fifth place as the best result. At the end of the season, his sponsorship by Red Bull ended and he was accepted into the Lotus sponsorship program. In 2013, Albon moved to KTR within the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup . With a fifth place as the best result, he improved to 16th place in the overall classification. He also took part in two North European Formula Renault events . He achieved a podium placement with a second place. In 2014 Albon stayed with KTR in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. He achieved three podiums and, as the best driver without a win, was third overall. He also completed three racing weekends in the northern European Formula Renault and won one race.
In 2015 Albon moved to Signature in the European Formula 3 championship . He finished second three times and finished the season in seventh place in the drivers' standings. In 2016 , Albon received a cockpit for the GP3 series at the ART Grand Prix . With four wins, no driver has won more races than him. Nevertheless, he was defeated in the championship by his teammate Charles Leclerc and finished second overall with 177 to 202 points.

However, he left the test drives prematurely without getting into the car as he began negotiations with Scuderia Toro Rosso with the aim of contesting the 2019 Formula 1 World Championship for the team. Less than three weeks before the start of the season, Nissan finally announced the termination of the contract with Albon. Toro Rosso then confirmed Albon for the 2019 Formula 1 World Championship. After the Hungarian Grand Prix it was announced that he would be starting the Belgian Grand Prix for sister team Red Bull Racing as a new team-mate of Max Verstappen . There he replaced Pierre Gasly , who moved back to Toro Rosso. At the Belgian Grand Prix , his first race for Red Bull, he finished fifth. In Japan he achieved his best result to date in fourth. At the end of the season he finished eighth overall with 92 points.
