Tatiana Calderón (born March 10, 1993 in Bogotá ) is a Colombian racing driver . It started in the European Formula 3 championship from 2013 to 2015 , and in the GP3 series from 2016 to 2018 . In 2019 she drove for Arden International in Formula 2 and was the first woman to participate in Formula 2. She is also a Formula 1 test driver for Alfa Romeo Racing.

Calderón began her motorsport career in karting in 2001 , where she remained active until 2010. In 2009 she also competed in the Radical European Masters , a European sports car racing series . There she was second in the SR5 classification with a win. Among other things, she prevailed against her teammate Natacha Gachnang . 2010 Calderón got into formula racing and started for Juncos Racing in the Star Mazda Series . While her teammate Conor Daly won the drivers' championship, Calderón finished her debut season in tenth place in the overall standings. In 2011, Calderón stayed with Juncos Racing in the Star Mazda Series. In the second race of the season in Birmingham , she finished in third place. This made Calderón the first woman to stand on the podium in the Star Mazda Series. As the season progressed, she finished third on the podium one more time. She improved to sixth place overall.

After the end of the Star Mazda series season 2011, Calderón moved to Europe and took part in the last three events of the European F3 Open for the West-Tec team. With one point placement, she was 21st in the drivers' standings. In 2012 Calderón received a cockpit at de Villota Motorsport in the European F3 Open . In the winter series, which was held before the season, she achieved a podium placement. In the regular season she reached ninth place in the championship with a fourth place as the best result. She also took part in two Alpine Formula Renault events for AV Formula .

At the beginning of 2013 Calderón started in New Zealand for ETEC Motorsport in the Toyota Racing Series . With a fifth place as the best result, she finished the season in twelfth place. Subsequently, Calderón received a cockpit for Double R Racing in the European Formula 3 Championship for the 2013 season . A 15th place was her best result. In addition, Calderón took part in the British Formula 3 Championship for Double R Racing in 2013 . There third place was her best result and she finished seventh in the drivers' championship. She also made two guest starts in the European F3 Open. In early 2014 , Calderón competed in the Florida Winter Series . In doing so, she scored a victory. Calderón then contested her second season in the European Formula 3 championship for Jo Zeller Racing . Originally she was supposed to start for Signature , but the team did not start the season and only took part in an event towards the end of the season. With a fifth place as the best result, she was 15th in the overall classification. In 2015 Calderón moved to Carlin within the European Formula 3 championship . An eleventh place was her best result. In the following 2015/16 winter season, Calderón took part in the MRF Challenge Formula 2000 in Asia. She finished each race within the top six and scored a victory in Dubai . With 199 to 244 points she was defeated by Pietro Fittipaldi and finished second overall.

In 2016 Calderón moved to Arden International in the GP3 series . While their teammates Jake Dennis and Jack Aitken won races, a ninth place was Calderón's best result. She finished the season in 21st place overall. In addition, Calderón contested a total of ten races for Teo Martín Motorsport and RP Motorsport in the 2016 Euroformula Open season . She achieved a third place and was ninth overall. In 2017 , Calderón stayed in the GP3 series and received a cockpit at DAMS . In addition, she was signed by the Sauber Formula 1 team as a development driver. She has been a test pilot there since 2018.
