Felix Juan Serralles IV (born June 24, 1992 in Ponce ) is a Puerto Rican racing car driver . He started in Indy Lights from 2015 to 2016 .

Career

Serralles began his motorsport career in karting in 2001 , in which he remained active until 2005. After a break to finish his schooling, Serralles switched to North American formula racing in 2007 and stayed in regional Skip Barber Series until 2009 . In 2009 he also started to drive in the Skip Barber National Championship . In 2010 he won two races in this championship and was third overall. He also started in the US F2000 National Championship and the F2000 Championship Series . In the US F2000 National Championship he finished a race in second place, but since he was a guest starter, he was not included in the ranking. In addition, he made his first experiences in GT racing and individual Formula Ford races in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge and first experiences in Europe as a guest starter in the British Formula Renault winter championship.

In 2011 Serralles moved to Europe. He received a contract with Fortec Motorsport and was used in several series. In the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup , he finished the season with regular points in twelfth place in the drivers' standings. This internally defeated Will Stevens , who was fourth. Serralles also took part as a guest starter in several races of the British Formula Renault. He came home in second place once. In the subsequent winter series of the British Formula Renault he took part as a regular driver and achieved eighth place in the overall classification with two third places. His teammate Oliver Rowland won the series.

In early 2012 Serralles took part in the Toyota Racing Series for Giles Motorsport . While his teammate Nick Cassidy won the championship, Serralles finished the season with a win in eighth place in the drivers' standings. He then received a cockpit at Fortec Motorsport for the 2012 season of the British Formula 3 Championship . He managed to win a race right at the start of the season. With a total of five wins, Serralles was the best Fortec driver and came third in the drivers' standings. He also made six guest starts in the Formula 3 Euro Series . 2013 Serralles appeared again for Giles Motorsport in the Toyota Racing Series. He won two races and came in sixth overall. As the year progressed, Serralles competed in the European Formula 3 championship for Fortec in 2013 . Two second places were his best results. He finished the season as the second best driver in his team in eleventh place. In 2013 , Serralles also took part in a British Formula 3 event for Fortec Motorsport. In 2014 Serralles stayed in the European Formula 3 championship and switched to the West-Tec F3 team , which was new to the championship. With a fourth place as the best result, he was twelfth overall at the end of the season.

In 2015 Serralles returned to North America and competed for Belardi Auto Racing in the Indy Lights . In West Allis he won for the first time. He finished the season in seventh place in the drivers' standings and thus prevailed internally against Juan Piedrahita . After the end of the Indy Lights season, Serralles took part in some Formula 3 races in Europe. For Jo Zeller Racing he competed in the Formula 3 Masters and for Mücke Motorsport in an event of the European Formula 3 Championship. In 2016 Serralles switched to Carlin within Indy Lights . He won the season opener in Saint Petersburg and was victorious in Newton as the season went on . While his teammate Ed Jones won the championship, Serralles was sixth overall.
