The Streets of Toronto is a 2.824 km street circuit in Toronto , Ontario , Canada . The route is located on the Exhibition Place event site and has eleven curves. From 1986 to 2007 the Molson Indy Toronto Champ Car race took place on the track. Since 2009 the racetrack has been part of the IndyCar Series , which hosts the Honda Indy Toronto there . In addition, other racing series are staging a race as part of the supporting program of the IndyCar event.
history
The most successful driver on the street circuit was Michael Andretti with seven wins. This is also the all-time record of the CART series for victories by a driver on a specific race track. In 1996 Jeff Krosnoff died in an accident on the racetrack.
