Heamin Choi
Heamin Choi (born January 11, 1984 in Busan ) is a South Korean racing driver .
Career
Choi began his motorsport career in karting in 1999 . Since then he has been active in various motorsport disciplines in South Korean motor racing and has won several national championships.
Choi made his international debut in professional racing in 2007 in the US Star Mazda Championship . He competed in a race for JDC Motorsports . This made him the first South Korean to take part in a US racing series. In 2012 Choi returned to the USA and competed for Afterburner Autosport in the US F2000 National Championship . A tenth place was his best result. He left the racing series prematurely two events before the end of the season and was 17th in the championship. In 2015 Choi received a cockpit at Schmidt Peterson Motorsports for the season finale of the Indy Lights . In the 2016 Indy Lights season , Choi took part in all oval races and the season finale for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. A tenth place was his best result.
