Robert Cregan

Robert Cregan (born November 4, 1988 ) is an Irish racing driver . He started in the GP3 series in 2012 and 2013 .

Career

Cregan began his motorsport career in 2002. In 2006, he competed in formula racing at a Formula Ford individual event. In 2008 he took part in two races of the Porsche Supercup for Tolimit in GT racing. In the 2010/2011 season he started in the UAE GT Championship and was runner-up in the GTC classification. In 2011 he competed in the Fujitsu V8 ​​Supercar Series , the second class of the Australian V8 Supercars . He became the first Irishman in the V8 Supercars. With an eighth place as the best result, he was twelfth overall.

In 2012 Cregan switched to formula racing. After taking part in GP3 test drives in February , Ocean Racing Technology gave him a cockpit for the season. He became the first Irish GP3 driver. Cregan remained without points and finished the season in 22nd place. 2013 Cregan was initially without engagement. For the last race weekend of the GP3 series, he received a cockpit from Trident Racing .

Cregan's father Richard Cregan is the boss of the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi and the former team manager of the Formula 1 team Toyota .
