The Johnson Spur is a rock spur 10 km south-southeast of the Taylor Spur on the east side of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1957 and 1959. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1961 after the American meteorologist William Floyd Johnson (1922-2007), who in 1957 the South Pole Station was active.
