The Taylor Spur is a wedge-shaped rock spur on the north side of the mouth of the Guerrero Glacier on the east side of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . He belongs to the Doyran Heights .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1957 and 1959. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1961 after Lieutenant Howard C. Taylor III. (1929–2012), US Navy Medical Officer at the South Pole Station in 1957.
