Jonas Žilevičius
Jonas Žilevičius (* 1911 in Riga , Latvia , † 1980 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian electrical engineer and politician , vice minister .
Life
His parents were born in Šiauliai . From 1915 the family lived in Ukraine .
In 1934 Jonas Žilevičius graduated from the Kharkov Electrical Engineering Institute . 1931-1941 he worked as an engineer in the Kharkov Institute. From 1941 to 1944 he was a senior energy economist in Tambov (Russia) at the “Komsomolec” plant. From 1944 to 1948 he worked at the Municipal Ministry of Soviet Lithuania as a senior energy economist and deputy minister. 1951–1954 he taught electrical engineering at the Vilniaus žemės ūkio mechanizacijos technikumas and 1953–1956 physics at the Vilniaus pedagoginis institutas . In 1970 he received his PhD in engineering and became a candidate for science.
