Jonas Sutkus

Jonas Sutkus (born April 15, 1893 in Žemlaukis , Šakiai Rajongemeinde ; † December 10, 1942 in Sverdlovsk ) was a Lithuanian lieutenant general and politician.

Life

In 1910 Jonas Sutkus graduated from high school in Kaunas and in 1916 from Moscow Aleksey War School. In 1923 he attended and completed Vytautas Magnus officer courses in Kaunas. From 1913 to 1914 he worked as a teacher in Lithuania . From 1929 to 1937 he was responsible for army logistics. From March 28, 1939 to November 21, 1939 he was Minister of Finance of Lithuania in the government of Jonas Černius .

Jonas Sutkus was a member of Lietuvių tautininkų sąjunga .
