Jonas Nicolas Weber (born July 26, 1982 in Rastatt ) is a German politician ( SPD ). Since September 1, 2018, he has been a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

education and profession

After graduating from Ludwig-Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Rastatt, Weber studied Political Science , History and Public Law at the University of Heidelberg and completed his studies with a Magister Artium . He then worked as a research assistant for the member of the Bundestag Gabriele Katzmarek , his predecessor in the Landtag mandate Ernst Kopp and the SPD council group in Karlsruhe.

Political activity

Weber has been chairman of the Rastatt / Baden-Baden SPD district association since 2007. Since 2009 he has been a member of the district assembly of the Rastatt district and has been chairman of the SPD district assembly there since June 2014. He has also been a member of the local council in his hometown of Rastatt since 2018. In the state elections in 2016 , he ran in the state constituency of Rastatt as a second candidate for Ernst Kopp, who was re-elected. On September 1, 2018 Weber moved up to the state parliament for the resigned Kopp.
