Career
Jonathan Lacourt started his football career in 2005 with the French first division club RC Lens . Already in his first season he played in two UEFA Cup matches. In his second season as a professional he was loaned to league rivals ES Troyes AC . Despite regular missions, Lacourt had to watch the relegation of his team, so that he returned to Lens after the year as a loan player.
On July 9, 2008, there was a double transfer from Lacourt and Seid Khiter to Valenciennes FC , which is estimated at 1.5 million euros.
A fatal foul by Kader Mangane , a former Lens team-mate, broke his shin and fibula in the Rennes-Valenciennes match on March 21, 2009. Lacourt is expected to be out of play for nine months.
