Abdou Kader Mangane (born March 23, 1983 in Thiès ) is a Senegalese football player . He mostly plays as a central defender or midfielder .
Career
societies
Mangane began his football career in his hometown with US Rail Thiès , where he played until June 30, 2001. He then played for Neuchâtel Xamax FC in Switzerland in the Super League for several years and scored 14 goals for this team.
On August 10, 2008 Mangane moved to France for a transfer fee of 3.3 million euros and played there in Ligue 1, first for a year for RC Lens and then until July 2013 for Stade Rennes . Here he added 11 goals to his track record. Then there were club stations in Saudi Arabia, England and Turkey in quick succession, before he played again in France on July 20, 2015, first one year for Gazélec FC Ajaccio and then until his retirement on June 30, 2018 at Racing Strasbourg .
National team
On October 10, 2003 Mangane made his debut for the Senegalese national football team in a friendly against Egypt. He had his last game on September 8, 2012 at the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor against Ivory Coast as part of the qualifying round for the 2013 Africa Cup . He scored a goal in 23 FIFA games and was also involved in one non-FIFA game.
