Jonathon Millar

Jonathon Millar (born September 25, 1974 in Ottawa , Ontario ) is a Canadian show jumper.

He is the son of world class rider Ian Millar , as well as the brother of Amy Millar . Together they run a farm in Perth, Ontario .

Life

In 1992 he won team gold at the North American Young Rider Championships , and the following year they won the silver medal. In 1994 he rode in Washington, DC for the first time in a Canadian team of riders. From 1997 to 2000 he lived in the Netherlands and trained with Emile Hendrix .

In 2000, the three Millars were members of the Canadian Nations Cup team at the CSIO Spruce Meadows 'Masters' Tournament in Calgary . In 2001, Jonathan, Ian and Amy Millar finished top three in the $ 100,000 Ocala Grand Prix , which was Jonathon's first ever Grand Prix win. In 2007 he won the silver medal at the Canadian Championships, gold went to his father. At the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington (Kentucky) , he finished fifth with the team.

In August 2011, he was suspended due to a positive drug test.
