The CSIO Spruce Meadows 'Masters' Tournament is an annual international horse riding tournament held at Spruce Meadows in Calgary , Canada .

It is advertised as CSIO 5 * and is one of two Nations Cup tournaments in Canada.

For years it was known as the highest-paid tournament in the world, partly due to the hosting of the CN International . Until 2013, the prize money for this Grand Prix was C $ 1,000,000 . As of 2016, the prize money for this exam is C $ 3,000,000. This made the test the most valuable show jumping competition in the world, but in 2018 it was replaced by the final test of the Global Champions League Playoffs in Prague, worth 6,400,000 euros .

In total, over C $ 4,000,000 in prize money will be given away as part of the Spruce Meadows 'Masters' Tournament.

Together with the Grand Prix of Geneva and Aachen , a bonus sponsored by Rolex has been offered since 2013 , the “ Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping ”.

With just six points in the last round, Great Britain and Canada took on the jump-off. The teams choose the Briton Michael Whitaker and the Canadian Ian Millar as jumpers . Millar won this jump-off with his horse In Style . The United States team came in third. Germany came fourth.
