Pedro Veniss (born January 6, 1983 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian show jumper .

Career

Through his parents, Veniss had contact with horses at an early age and began riding at the age of four. At the age of 18, he first went to Belgium to join Nelson Pessoa for a year , then stayed permanently in Europe.

At the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, he played his first championship for Brazil with Un Blanc De Blancs . The Brazilian team won the gold medal, Veniss came fifth in the individual ranking.

At the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong , he rode with Un Blanc De Blancs for Brazil. This was followed by participation in the World Equestrian Games in 2010 and 2014. At the Pan American Games in 2015 , he again reached fifth place in the individual ranking, this time with Quabri de l'Isle .

With Quabri de l'Isle he also competed in his second championship in Rio de Janeiro, the 2016 Olympic Games . Brazil came fifth in the team standings, Veniss was 16 in the individual.

Since the beginning of 2016, Pedro Veniss has been running a tournament and trading stable in Ittre, Belgium, together with Cassio Rivetti . Before that he presented horses at tournaments for the large “Stephex Stables” stable from Wolvertem .

In Lima, at the Pan American Games 2019 , Brazil won team gold, Veniss rode his successful horse Quabri de l'Isle here again .
