Siegbert Frank

Siegbert Leopold Frank (* 1939 in Untergrombach ; † July 22, 1998 in Pforzheim ) was a German local politician ( CDU ) and First Mayor of Pforzheim.

From 1968 to 1976 he was managing director of the CDU district association Enzkreis / Pforzheim BV Nordbaden. He held this position until his death in July 1998.

During his political career, large projects in Pforzheim were carried out under his supervision and responsibility. Especially in his capacity as planning and construction department head, he was responsible for the expansion of the thermal power station and the reorganization of the Pforzheim municipal utilities . Frank was also responsible for organizing the State Garden Show in 1992. Frank was also very active in the twinning with Osijek and thus became an honorary citizen of Osijek.

Siegbert Frank was a friend and close confidante of the former Prime Minister Stefan Mappus .

In addition to his political career, Frank was also an honorary senator of the Carnival Society Hochburg . He was married to Irene Frank (née Doll). The couple has two grown children, Tobias Kilian Frank and Caroline Frank. Siegbert Frank died after a serious illness on July 22, 1998 at the age of 58. His personal estate is now in the Pforzheim City Archives.
