Jong Myong-chol (born March 11, 1978 ) is a North Korean marathon runner .
In 2003 he won the Pyongyang Marathon and was seventh in the half marathon of the Universiade in Daegu . The following year he was third in Pyongyang and came in 35th place in the marathon of the Olympic Games in Athens .
In 2005 he set his personal best as third in Pyongyang with 2:14:58 h.
