Jongro-dong ( kor. 종로 동 ), also called Chongro-dong , is a dong (smallest administrative unit in Korea, comparable to a district) in the central district of Chung-guyŏk of the North Korean capital Pyongyang . It is not to be confused with a dong of the same name in Seoul .
Economy and Transport
The district is located in the city center, where important roads meet. There is also the Sŭngli metro station of the Pyongyang metro and a stop for the Pyongyang trolleybus . New modern residential complexes were built here in 2012 . The district is bordered clockwise by Mansudae Street , Sungri Street , Somun Street and Jongro Street . Taehaksupdang Street begins and ends within the dong .
It measures around 350 m * 515 m and is therefore ~ 1.8 km² in size.
