Mario Pavelic (born September 19, 1993 in Eisenstadt ) is an Austrian football player of Bosnian descent.

Career

society

Pavelic began his career in Neusiedl am See , where he played for the SCNS . In 2007 he moved to AKA Burgenland for half a year. In 2009 he moved to AKA Rapid. In September 2011 he made his debut for the second team against the WAC / St. Andrä in the ÖFB Cup . He made his debut for the Bundesliga team in the third round of the Europa League qualification in August 2013 in the second leg against Asteras Tripoli . In October 2013 he made his Bundesliga debut against SC Wiener Neustadt . In June 2016, his contract with SK Rapid was prematurely extended until the end of the 2017/18 season.

For the 2018/19 season he moved to Croatia to HNK Rijeka , where he received a contract that ran until June 2021. In his first season with Rijeka he came to nine appearances in the 1st HNL , in which he scored one goal.

In July 2019 he was transferred to Norway on 08 FF Sarpsborg awarded. For Sarpsborg, he played eight games in the Eliteserien before returning to Rijeka after the end of the 2019 season. In February 2020 he returned to Austria and switched to FC Admira Wacker Mödling . After 14 appearances for Admira in the Bundesliga, he left the club after the 2019/20 season.

National team

Pavelic played for various Austrian junior national teams. In 2015 representatives of the Bosnian Association vied for him.

Personal

Pavelic is also eligible to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina as his parents are from Sarajevo .
