Joost Patocka (actually Joost Patočka , born July 1, 1969 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch jazz musician ( drums ) of modern jazz .

Patocka took lessons from Joe Morello , Marvin Smitty Smith, and Carl Allen ; from the early 1990s he worked in the Dutch jazz scene; The first recordings were made in 1992 with the North Sea Big Band under the direction of Ruud van Dijk . In the following years he worked a. a. with Carolyn Breuer , Cees Slinger , Piet Noordijk , Ernst Glerum , Benjamin Herman , Rita Reys , Kurt Rosenwinkel and Francien van Tuinen . In the field of jazz he was involved in 17 recording sessions between 1992 and 2013. Patocka teaches at Codarts in Rotterdam.
