The Joppa Flats Education Center is a training center of the Massachusetts Audubon Society on the plains of the same name near Newburyport in the state of Massachusetts in the United States . The area comprises several, non-interconnected individual areas with a total area of ​​52  acres (21  ha ).

The center is located near the entrance to the neighboring Parker River National Wildlife Refuge just off the Merrimack River . It is used by the Audubon Society to bring visitors closer to nature with guided tours through different habitats in the region - salt marshes , mud flats , rivers, bays and coastal waters . Art exhibitions and addiction counseling programs are also organized on a regular basis. Year round, wildlife can be seen roaming the lower Merrimack River and the estuary on Plum Island . More than 300 species of birds are counted in the reserve each year.
