Jordan Simpson (born August 28, 1985 in Sydney ) is an Australian football player . The midfielder is under contract with the Australian club Sydney Olympic . His twin brother Tyler Simpson († 2011) was also a professional footballer at times.

Career

Simpson took his first steps in the senior division with the Northern Tigers in the New South Wales Winter Super League , the second-highest division in New South Wales . In 2005, like his brother Tyler, he signed a professional contract with the A-League club Queensland Roar and completed six appearances in Australia's top division. For the 2006/07 season Simpson moved to the Swiss club BSC Young Boys , but came there only four brief appearances in the league during the season and returned to Australia after a year. From September to November 2007 he was a replacement for an injured player at the Australian first division club Perth Glory and came to six missions during this time. He then played with the Blacktown City Demons in the New South Wales Premier League .

In August 2008 Simpson signed a long-term contract with the Finnish club FF Jaro , which was dissolved in February 2009. Simpson returned to Australia on a free transfer and joined Sydney Olympic .
