Jordan Madison Talbert (born March 11, 1991 in Little Rock ) is an American basketball player .

Player career

Talbert, whose father played basketball at Southern Arkansas University , moved from Little Rock Central High School to Missouri Southern State University in 2009 and played for the college's basketball team from the 2010/11 season in the second NCAA division. In the 2009/10 season he was suspended. In his final 2013/14 season, the winger scored an average of 11.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per encounter in 31 missions.

Talbert began his professional career in the German regional league with the Giants Nördlingen , to which he switched in the run-up to the 2014/15 season. With Nördlingen, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProB in his first year as a professional , he was involved in this success as the team's best scorer (21.6 points on average). After the promotion, Talbert stayed in Nördlingen and was also a leading player in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB, averaging 17.4 points and 11.1 rebounds for the Nördlingen team in 29 games over the course of the 2015/16 season. The latter was the league high.

After two years in Nördlingen , Talbert accepted a contract offer from PS Karlsruhe during the summer break of 2016 , which had just been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProB. With the “Löwen” he made it into the finals in the 2016/17 season, which meant that Karlsruhe “marched through” as a new league player in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . Talbert scored 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game for Karlsruhe in the promotion season.

In the summer of 2017, the left-hander joined the Rostock Seawolves with his Karlsruhe teammate Bill Borekambi , so he stayed in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB. With the Mecklenburgers he repeated the success of the previous year and reached the runner-up in the ProB with them and thus once again promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. Talbert played 31 games for Rostock in the 2017/18 season and recorded averages of 13.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per encounter. After the rise was completed, the Mecklenburgers provided him with a contract extension. In the ProA, Talbert received fewer shares in the Rostock team and scored an average of 2.9 points per match in the 2018/19 season.

In the summer break of 2019 he was signed by the regional league team Baskets Wolmirstedt.
