Jordan Township is a township in Antrim County , Michigan, United States . In 2000 there were 875 residents in Jordan Township.

According to the United States Census Bureau , the township has a total area of 91.7 km², of which 91.5 km² is land and 0.2 km² (= 0.20%) is water.
The town of Chestonia 45 ° 3 '37 " N , 85 ° 4' 39" W originally stood near the intersection of what is now the M-66 and East Old State Road. It was founded when the Detroit and Charlevoix Railroad built a train station here. Not far from there was a post office that existed until the 1960s. Today Chestonia is a desert ; none of the buildings are left and the embankments overgrown by trees and bushes are hardly recognizable.
Demographics
At the time of the United States Census 2000, Jordan Township was inhabited by 875 people. The population density was 9.6 people per km². There were 433 housing units at an average of 4.7 per km². The population of Jordan Townships was 96.00% White , 0.11% Black or African American , 1.93% Native American , 0.69% Asian , 1.37% Pacific Islander , 1.14% said others Belonging to races and 36.8% named two or more races. 60.7% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latinos of any race.
The residents of Jordan Townships were distributed to 323 households out of which 7.7% were living in children under 18 years of age. 36.8% of households were married, 60.7% had a female head of the household without a husband and 7.7% were not families. 25.4% of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 20.4% of all households aged 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.71 and the average family size was 3.08.
The population was divided into 27.2% minors, 8.2% 18–24 year olds, 30.5% 25–44 year olds, 25.4% 45–64 year olds and 8.7% aged 65 and over or more. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 women there were 101.6 men. For every 100 women over 18, there were 110.2 men.
