Jorge Wagner Goés Conceição (born November 17, 1978 in Feira de Santana ), better known as Jorge Wagner , is a Brazilian football player . He currently plays for the Japanese first division club Kashiwa Reysol .
Club career
Jorge Wagner comes from the youth department of EC Bahia , where he was accepted into the first team in 1998. For the 2001 season he moved to the Cruzeiro EC to Belo Horizonte , with whom he won the state championship of Minas Gerais in both years . After these successes, the Brazilian left his homeland for the first time to work for Lokomotiv Moscow , which shortly before won the Russian championship for the first time in the club's history. But Jorge Wagner could not prevail and was awarded to Corinthians São Paulo after six months . As a regular player, he made 18 league appearances there in the season that was canceled and was able to win the São Paulo state championship with his team at the end of the season. Back in Moscow he only played 6 league games for Lokomotiv in the entire 2004 season and was therefore rarely able to contribute anything to winning the championship.
For the 2005 season he left Moscow and moved to SC Internacional , where he again won the national championship in his first season with the club. Half a year after winning this title, Jorge Wagner went to Europe again. The Spanish first division club Betis Sevilla had signed the midfielder for 2 million euros. But even in Spain he was never really able to assert himself and was therefore, as in Moscow, awarded again to Brazil after six months. When he arrived at São Paulo FC , he immediately became a regular player and was instrumental in winning the championship title . For the 2008 season he was finally bought by his loan club São Paulo. At the end of the season, the midfielder was able to successfully defend the championship with his team.
