Jorik Van Egdom (born May 16, 1995 in Veenendaal ) is a Dutch duathlete and triathlete . He is two-time national champion in the triathlon sprint distance (2014, 2016) and short distance (2018) as well as U23 world champion of the year 2016 in both triathlon and duathlon.

Career

In April 2012, Jorik Van Egdom became vice European junior champion in the duathlon.

In May 2013 he became the national champion on the triathlon sprint distance. Later that year, the then 18-year-old world junior champion in both cross triathlon (July) and duathlon (August).

In September 2015 he became the U23 cross triathlon world champion in Sardinia.

In April 2016 he became the European Duathlon Champion in the U23 and Elite classes.

In June 2016 he became U23 world champion on the duathlon short distance and in September in Mexico also U23 world champion triathlon on the Olympic short distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running).

In August 2018, the then 23-year-old became national champion in the short distance triathlon.
