José Manuel Gentil Quina (born October 3, 1934 in Campo Grande ) is a former Portuguese sailor .
successes
José Manuel Quina took part in the Olympic Games three times . On his Olympic debut in 1960 he started in Rome at the side of his brother Mário Quina in the star boat and won the silver medal with him. With 6665 points, they came second behind the Soviet Olympic champions Timir Pinegin and Fyodor Schutkow . At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City , however, they did not get beyond 17th place in the star boat. In 1972 , José Manuel Quina took eleventh place in the Finn dinghy at the regatta at the Schilksee Olympic Center .
In 2015 he was honored as a Grand Officer of the Order of Infante Dom Henrique .
