José Miguel López Hurtado OFM (born November 27, 1918 in Guapi , Colombia ; † August 8, 2009 ) was Apostolic Prefect in Guapi .

Life

José Miguel López Hurtado entered the religious order of the Franciscans and made temporary profession on December 8, 1938 . He made his perpetual profession on December 8, 1941. López Hurtado received on 16 March 1946 the auxiliary bishop in Bogotá , Emilio de Brigard Ortiz , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Pope Paul VI appointed the Franciscan Father José Miguel López Hurtado on November 28, 1969 as the second prefect in Guapi in the Colombian department of Cauca , a prefecture that was established on April 5, 1954. His resignation was granted in 1982 by Pope John Paul II .
