José Vidal ( December 15, 1896 - July 3, 1974 ) was a Uruguayan football player .

Midfielder Vidal belonged at least from 1922 to 1924 to the squad of Belgrano , which had been playing in the Primera División at the time since the rise in 1918 . In 1923 they reached the fourth place in the table, the best final season position in the club's history.
