José Virgílio Rodrigues Ferreira

José Virgílio Rodrigues Ferreira (born April 5, 1979 in Dili , East Timor ) is an East Timorese politician. He is a member of the Congresso Nacional da Reconstrução Timorense (CNRT) party.

Career

From 2004 to 2006 Ferreira was chief mechanic at DAST. From 2007 to 2015 he was a member of the Organização Juventude Partido CNRTR (OJP-CNRT), the youth organization of the CNRT, and from 2015 to 2019 he was general coordinator of the OJP-CNRT.

In the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2012 , Ferreira held the 21st place on the list of the CNRT's replacement candidates. At number 44 on the list of the actual candidates in the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2017 , he still had no chance. In the parliamentary elections in 2018 , Ferreira missed entry into parliament on list position 38 of the Aliança para Mudança e Progresso (AMP), the joint list of CNRT, PLP and KHUNTO . At the end of June, however, he moved up for members of parliament who constitutionally gave up their seat for government office. Ferreira is a member of the parliamentary commission for economy and development (commission D).
