Jos Hoevenaers

Josef "Jos" Hoevenaers (born November 30, 1932 in Antwerp ; † June 14, 1995 there ) was a Belgian racing cyclist .

Jos Hoevenaers was professional -Radrennfahrer from 1956 to 1967. In 1962 he was third in the Road World Championships of professionals. He started on all major tours and classics . His greatest successes were a tenth place in the 1958 Tour de France and a day in the yellow jersey , an eighth place in the 1959 Tour with three days in the leadership jersey and a fifth place in the Giro d'Italia in 1960, after having won the Maglia for eleven days Had worn pink .

In 1959 Hoevenaers won the Walloon Arrow and in 1964 he was third on the Lombardy Tour . Jos Hoevenaers was a son of the amateur road world champion from 1925, Rik Hoevenaers .
