Josef Ackermann (journalist)
Josef Ackermann (born January 31, 1896 in Munich , † August 22, 1959 in Lucerne , Switzerland ) was a German journalist .
Life
Before the Second World War, Ackermann was an editor for the Weißenburger Tagblatt . Between 1933 and 1945 Ackermann was imprisoned with interruptions in the Dachau , Buchenwald and Dora-Mittelbau concentration camps . After the collapse of the Third Reich in 1945 he became director of the municipal intelligence service in Munich . In April 1948 he was the founder and editor of the Münchner Stadtanzeiger .
Ackermann was chairman of the Association of Professional Journalists in Bavaria for many years .
Ackermann was a member of the Bavarian Senate from 1950 to 1955 .
