Joseph Art
Josef Art (* 1942 in Bavaria ) is a German Ju-Jutsuka , non-fiction author and sports official.
Career
Since his youth, Josef Art practiced various martial arts such as judo and Taekwon-Do . In 1969 he became a Ju-Jutsuka and founded the Budo Club Preith in 1975. As a sports functionary, he represented the Bavarian state group Ju-Jutsu from 1973 to 1976 as 2nd chairman and as 1st chairman from 1976 to 1991 in the German Dan College (DDK). In 1979 he published the standard work Ju-Jutsu - Modern Self-Defense , which was topical until the 1990s. His second work Ju-Jutsu Praxis was published in 1983 .
From 1983 to 1991 he was sports manager and regional coach in Bavaria, from 1980 to 1993 national coach . He founded the competition in ju-jutsu. To this end, he created a set of rules that was used in the 1980s. He worked as a federal referee in Germany. As a police officer, he actively participated in the use of the Ju-Jutsu in the Bavarian police service, was a police officer and training manager in the SV .
In 2012, Art was awarded the 9th Dan Ju-Jutsu for his life's work.
