Josef Aschenbrenner

Josef Aschenbrenner , from 1850 Knight von Aschenbrenner (born June 29, 1798 in Neumarkt an der Rott , † December 19, 1858 in Munich ) was a German lawyer in the financial administration of Bavaria.

Life

Aschenbrenner, who was a Catholic denomination, studied law at the Julius Maximilians University after graduating from high school in 1815 at the (today's) Wilhelmsgymnasium Munich and became a member of the Corps Bavaria Munich . He was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD. He entered the internal administration of the Kingdom of Bavaria . He was council advisor to the government of the Regenkreis (1824), fiscal auditor to the government of the Obermainkreis (1829) and secret secretary in the Bavarian Ministry of Finance . After he had been chief accountant at the Supreme Audit Office from 1841, he was appointed Minister of State for Finance in 1849. From February 27 to September 9, 1854 he was also Minister-Administrator of the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice . In 1850 he was ennobled and since then has been known as the Ritter von Aschenbrenner. He died in office at the age of 60.
