Josef Baldinger

Josef Baldinger (born November 8, 1866 in Waidring, Wolfsegg community am Hausruck ; † January 3, 1949 there ) was an Austrian farmer , innkeeper and politician ( CS ).

Baldinger was born as the son of Josef and Anna Baldinger, owners of the Holzingergut in Waidring. He attended primary school in Atzbach and did his military service at the medical department no. 4 in Linz . The farmer's son married the owner of a farm with an inn in Rutzenham in 1893 and had three sons with her, who all died before their father. Baldinger was a co-founder of the Schwanenstadt dairy cooperative and a member of the supervisory board of a warehouse cooperative and an electricity company. He was particularly interested in local history.

Baldinger was politically active for many years as Deputy Mayor of the Rutzenham community and has represented the rural communities in the state parliament since 1897 . For the Christian Social Party he was also a member of the provisional state assembly and substitute member of the provisional state committee between 1918 and 1919 .
