Josef Baliko

Josef Baliko (born January 21, 1876 in Jabing ; † April 14, 1930 ibid) was an Austrian woodworker and politician ( SDAP ). Between 1922 and 1923 he was a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

Josef Baliko was born as the son of a free farmer (nobilis) from Jabing. He attended elementary school and then worked as a machine worker. As a result, Baliko worked as a woodworker in Neumarkt im Tauchental .

politics

In 1919 Baliko co-founded the “Social Democratic Association of Burgenlanders in Vienna” and in 1921 rose to its first chairman. He was a member of the regional executive committee of the Social Democratic Workers' Party in Burgenland. He lived in Großpetersdorf between 1923 and 1924, where he ran an inn and held the office of mayor.

He was also a member of the Burgenland Landtag from July 15, 1922 to November 13, 1923. After 1924 Baliko moved to Vienna.
