Josef Barwig

Josef Barwig (born October 11, 1909 in Zauchtel , Moravia ; † May 26, 1942 in Slavyansk-na-Kubani ( USSR )) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending the elementary school in Zauchtel and the sub-secondary school in Neutitschein , Barwig passed the matriculation examination at the higher agricultural state school in Söhle-Neutitschein . From 1930 to 1932 he did military service. Barwig was active in many national associations in his home country, e.g. B. he was entrusted with the organization of the peasantry in the constituency of Mährisch-Ostrau and a member of the German National Socialist Workers' Party (DNSAP). In September 1934 he was appointed district leader of the Sudeten German Home Front by Konrad Henlein and in March 1935 as district leader.

After the Sudetenland was "annexed" to the National Socialist German Reich , Barwig was the district commissioner for the development of the NSDAP district of Neutitschein. In November 1938 he was appointed Gau inspector and in December 1938 provisional district manager of Neutitschein. From December 4, 1938 until his death, Barwig was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag .
