Josef Bernhardt (born March 13, 1960 in Eisenstadt ) is an Austrian artist who works in the fields of painting , object art , video film and photography .

education

Josef Bernhardt attended the Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Mattersburg . After graduating from high school in 1978 and graduating from HTBLuVA in Vienna in 1981, he has devoted himself to art since 1989.

Professional activities

In 1993 he founded the international artists' association “Freiraum”. This carried out symposia in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, India and Japan. He is also the initiator and organizer of the "Art Forest" project series founded in 1998.

In 1994 he received the Fine Arts Award from the Burgenland Foundation Theodor Kery

Josef Bernhardt lives and works in Forchtenstein .
