Career

Adam Burish began his career as a hockey player in the 2001/02 season with the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League . During the NHL Entry Draft 2002 he was selected in the ninth round as a total of 282nd player by the Chicago Blackhawks . From 2002 to 2006, however, Burish played for the University of Wisconsin – Madison ice hockey team from the National Collegiate Athletic Association . With the team in which Joe Pavelski , Tom Gilbert and Jack Skille also played, he won the US college championship in 2006.

In the summer of 2006, the American was added to the roster of Chicago's then farm team , the Norfolk Admirals from the American Hockey League . In the 2006/07 season , the attacker completed 64 games for the Admirals and scored 21 points scorer, including eleven goals. During the same season he made his debut in the National Hockey League and played nine times for the Blackhawks. In the 2007/08 season he played exclusively for the NHL team and came up with eight scorer points, including four goals, in 81 games in the NHL. In the 2009/10 season he was injured for a long time, but won the Stanley Cup for the first time in the playoffs with Chicago . Following this success, he signed a contract with the Dallas Stars on July 1, 2010 .

After two years in Dallas, he joined the San Jose Sharks in July 2012 and has been used there at irregular intervals. He also spent the second half of the 2014/15 season on loan with the Chicago Wolves in the AHL . After the attacker and San Jose agreed on the payout ( buy-out ) of his remaining contract year, Burish decided to move to Europe and joined the Swedish first division club Växjö Lakers Hockey in October 2015 . During the season he moved to league rivals Malmö Redhawks before ending his active career.
