Josef Biedermann

Josef Biedermann (born November 26, 1944 in Feldkirch ) is a Liechtenstein politician (FBP).

biography

Biedermann completed a teaching degree and biology degree at the University of Friborg in Switzerland . He then taught at the Liechtenstein grammar school in Vaduz . In 1987 he replaced Otto Kaufmann as rector of the grammar school and was the head of the school until 2008 when he retired. On August 1, 2008, he was replaced as Rector by the previous Vice Rector Eugen Nägele .

From 1978 to 1993 Biedermann was a member of the State Parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein for the Progressive Citizens' Party (FBP) and from 1989 to 1992 he held the office of Vice President of the State Parliament. In 2011 he was elected for his party in the town council of Planken . In the first council meeting on February 22nd, he was elected vice-head of the parish.

Biedermann is committed to environmental protection in the Liechtenstein Society. From 1978 to 1985 he was its vice-president. In 1990 he received the Binding Prize for nature and environmental protection . From 1992 to 1995 he was President of the International Commission for the Protection of the Alps, CIPRA, and is now its treasurer. He is also President of the Botanical-Zoological Society in Liechtenstein.

Josef Biedermann is married to Josy Biedermann ; they have three children.
