Binding award for nature and environmental protection

The Binding Prize for nature and environmental protection is awarded for special commitment to nature and environmental protection ; it is awarded annually to several award winners in Vaduz . The award was initiated in 1986 by Sophie (†) and Karl Binding (†), Schaan.

The so-called “Big Binding Prize” is endowed with 50,000 Swiss francs, and three other prizes are awarded every year.

In addition to the Binding Foundation based in Schaan, which organizes the Binding Prize for nature and environmental protection, the couple Sophie and Karl Binding founded the Basel-based Sophie and Karl Binding Foundation , which awarded the Binding Forest Prize annually from 1987 to 2016 .
