Eugen Nägele (politician)

Eugen Nägele (born August 10, 1964 in Vaduz ) is a Liechtenstein high school teacher and politician . He has been a member of the Liechtenstein State Parliament since 2013 .

biography

Nägele grew up in Planken and studied at the University of Friborg . After several years of teaching in Switzerland, Nägele began teaching English and French at the Liechtenstein Gymnasium in Vaduz from the 1995/1996 school year . In 2000 he became Vice Rector. On March 18, 2008, Nägele was appointed Rector of the Liechtenstein Gymnasium by the Liechtenstein government. He took up this post on August 1, 2008, replacing Josef Biedermann , who was rector for more than 20 years and has now retired.

Nägele was a member of the Schaan City Council from 1999 to 2007 . In February 2013 , Nägele was elected to the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein for the first time for the Progressive Citizens' Party (FBP). He was re-elected in February 2017 . As a member of parliament, he was a deputy in the Liechtenstein delegation to the EFTA and the EEA from 2013 to 2017. Since 2017 he has been a member of the Foreign Policy Commission and a deputy in the Liechtenstein delegation to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe .

Nägele is married and has two children, a son and a daughter.
