Josef "Jupp" Çınar and Josef "Jupp" Cinar (* 22. January 1984 in Bremen ) is a German - Turkish football player with Aramaic descent.

Career

Josef Cinar went to school in Gütersloh and played in the youth team of FC Gütersloh . In the A-youth he moved to VfB Fichte Bielefeld , where he was then also part of the club's top division team until 2004. Then he moved within the league to SC Verl . It was not until his third year that he was stuck with the team. This season the club was promoted to the Regionalliga Nord as a sovereign champion with only 28 goals conceded in 34 games. In the 2007/08 season, Cinar was again a regular player and captain of the team, but could not prevent Verl, being penultimate in the table, from relegating from the third to the fourth division again.

Then the tall, strong central defender moved to league neighbor Eintracht Trier for professional reasons . There he was also a regular player and got the captain's armband. After two years in the lower regions of the table, the club just barely missed promotion to the 3rd league as second in the table in its third year.

Çınar got an offer from third division club Wacker Burghausen , who was looking for a leading player for the defense with the second worst defense in the third division. He signed for two years from 2011 with the option of one year extension.

After two years in Burghausen, Çınar moved to league rivals Chemnitzer FC in 2013 and received a contract until 2015. In the first half of the 2013/14 season , Cinar made 16 appearances and scored one goal. In January 2014, the contract was terminated prematurely at his request.

In the spring, Cinar moved to the Turkish Süper Lig to Kayseri Erciyesspor . For the next season he was hired by the second division side Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor . In the winter break of 2016/17 he returned to Germany and to his former club Eintracht Trier. In October 2018, Cinar ended his playing career and took over the position of coach at Eintracht.
