Josef Gabriel (politician, 1868)
Josef Gabriel (born March 19, 1868 in Landskron (Lanškroun) , Moravia ; † June 5, 1939 in Spittal an der Drau ) was an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Workers' Party (SdP).
education and profession
After attending primary school in St. Ruprecht am Moos , he learned the profession of plumber . From 1904 he was an official of the general health insurance fund.

- 1909: Chairman of the Spittal an der Drau consumer association
- 1918–1920: Member of the Provincial Assembly of Carinthia
- Member of the supervisory board of the Großeinkaufsgesellschaftischer Österreichischer Consumvereine (GöC)
- Member of the municipal council of Spittal an der Drau
- Chairman of the Carinthian consumer cooperative
- Establishment of a local group of metal workers and railroad workers in Spittal an der Drau
- Chairman of the local metalworkers group in Villach
