Josef Hennerici

Josef Hennerici (born August 15, 1890 in Mayen ; † October 6, 1974 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Hennerici, who was a Catholic denomination, attended Catholic elementary school and did military service in 1911/12. He then worked as a stonemason, from 1914 to 1916 he did military service in World War I and was retired as war-damaged. 1919–1920 he was employed by the Mayen district administration and from 1920 to 1933 at the Mayen tax office. After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he was released in 1933 and detained. In 1934 he was hired again under a penalty transfer to the Koblenz tax office and worked again at the Mayen tax office from 1939 to 1945. After July 20, 1944, he was imprisoned again as part of the Grid Action . From 1950 he was employed by the State Office for Reparation.

In 1913 he became a member of the SPD and in 1920 chairman of the local association. Before 1933 he was a city councilor, parliamentary group leader of the SPD and an alderman for the city of Mayen. In addition, he was chairman of the AOK Mayen-Stadt.

1945–1949 he was the mayor of Mayen-Land. 1945–1946 he was district deputy and then from 1946 to 1961 a member of the district assembly. 1948–1952 and 1946–1960 he was second district deputy.

For the SPD he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly in 1946/47 . There he was a member of the finance committee.
