Josef Kaspi

Josef ben Abba Mari ibn Kaspi (* 1279 in L'Argentière , † 1340 in Tarascon ) was a Jewish scholar and especially a Bible commentator.

Kaspi lived and worked in France , Spain , Egypt and North Africa . His thinking was significantly influenced by Abraham ibn Ezra , and his interpretations of the Bible show a pragmatic, realistic style and a scientific, sober treatment of all subjects.
