Josef Kloock

Josef-Wilhelm Kloock (born July 31, 1935 in Zülpich ) is a German economist and emeritus professor for business administration at the seminar for general business administration at the University of Cologne .

Career

He studied mathematics , physics and business administration from 1956, first in Göttingen , then in Cologne. He obtained his diploma in 1963 in mathematics, economics, in Cologne. There he obtained his doctorate in 1967 under Hans Münstermann on the subject of "Business input-output models - a contribution to production theory" , and in 1970 he completed his habilitation in Regensburg under Werner Dinkelbach. Kloock initially held a substitute professorship in Hamburg between 1971 and 1972 before returning to Cologne in 1972. He stayed here until 1994, when he switched to the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg . Between 1997 and 2001 he taught business administration again in Cologne, where he retired after the 2000/2001 winter semester. Until 2000 he was a reviewer at the German Research Foundation .

Publications

His first publications were “Business Input-Output Models” (1969) and “On the Current Discussion of Business Production Theory and Cost Theory”. With university colleague Günter Sieben (and Thomas Schildbach / Carsten Homburg) he wrote the standard work “Cost and Performance Accounting” , which was the first Appeared in 1976. Among other things, "Balance sheet and income statement" (1983), internal accounting and organization from the point of view of environmental protection ´ (in: Business Research and Practice 1989, p. 1 ff.), Balance sheet policy and the principle of relevance from the point of view of commercial law (in: Business Research und Praxis 1989, pp. 141–158), environmental cost accounting (in: Accounting and EDV 1990, pp. 129 ff.), Betriebliches Accounting (1996). The last publication so far was “Fundamentals of Accounting and Financing” (2010).

Scientific focus

His academic focus is on internal and external accounting , investment , cost and production theory .

Private

Josef Kloock comes from a farming family and married Elisabeth Schüerhoff in 1964, and the marriage had 3 children. Today he lives in Erftstadt .
