Josef Krejčí (composer)
Josef Krejčí (born December 17, 1821 in Milostín , † October 19, 1881 in Prague ) was a Bohemian composer .
Krejčí studied in Prague with Jan August Vitásek and Josef Proksch . He worked as an organist and in 1849 became a theory teacher at the Prague Conservatory .
From 1858 he was director of the organ school and from 1865 director of the entire conservatory. In addition to orchestral works, he composed organ pieces and sacred choral music.
